WSWO (the provincial sport governing body in Ontario) via WSWC (the national sport governing body), partners with various insurance providers to offer different types of coverage at discounted rates to it's membership. Details as follows:
Boat Insurance
Personal Boat Coverage
- agreed value coverage

- physical damage for boat while being operated by school or club

Coverage Guidelines for Commercial boats
- hold valid liability policy for school or club with WSWC
- minimum 3 years experience with similar size vessel
- no claims 3 years
- primary operator is older than 20 years
- available across Canada except QC, NFL

Club Insurance
Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada's (WSWC - the national governing body for Watersports across Canada) club insurance program has been designed to fit hte needs of CAnadian towed watersports clubs.
What is defined as a club: An operation that acts as a non-profit organization and where every person involved with the club is a member of their respective water ski and wakeboard association. This includes, but is not limited to club members, volunteers, staff and every participant in club activities on or off the water.

Notes for Club Application Processing:
- Applications will not be processed until all required documentation is submitted and payment is paid in full. We accept online payments through PayPal or INTERACT E-TRANSFER.
- Applications are processed in approximately 6 business days. "Rush" orders (<6 days) can be accommodated, for an additional $100.
- All approved insurance applications will receive a certificate of insurance with the confirmation package. Due to nature of the program, fees may not be pro-rated and are non-refundable.
In a typical ski season, coverage is for the 12-month period, beginning on the latter of April 1, or the date of enrollment acceptance through to March 31 of the following year.

School Insurance
The Water Ski and Wakeboard Canada (WSWC) school liability insurance program has been designed to fit the needs of Canadian towed watersports schools. Basic coverage is available for 3M or 5M policies. Additional optional coverage is available for additional cost.
What is defined as a school:An operation whose participants do not necessarily become members of their respective provincial water ski and wakeboard association.

Athlete Insurance
The Canada Athlete Insurance Program (CAIP) has become well recognized in providing the most comprehensive insurance protection to Canada's athletes at all levels while "In Canada" and "Outside Canada". This program is administered by WSWC, the national governing body for watersports in Canada. Note that you must be a member of your provincial organization in order to take advantage of CAIP.
In Canada Insurance
Provides insurance coverage for expenses incurred for various medical and therapy treatments as a result of a sport related injury caused by an accident while participating in a practice session, game or traveling directly to or from such practice session or game. A sport accident is a sudden and unexpected event which directly results in an injury to the insured person.
Inside Canada insurance includes "OVERUSE" coverage, which has been unique to CAIP since the beginning and remains the most popular and sought after benefit amongst Canada’s athletes. "Overuse" is a chronic injury that happens over a period of time as a result of repetitive activity. Over the years, the "Overuse" insurance benefit represents 70% to 90% of all paid In Canada claims in any given year.
OVERUSE coverage applies to:
- Physiotherapy
- Athletic therapy (CATA)
- Massage therapy
- Chiropractor
- Orthotics
All other benefits in the CAIP Insurance Program are a result of a sport accident.

Travel Medical Insurance
Don't leave Canada without it!
Travel medical insurance is 24 hours a day insurance protection for emergency medical and hospital care, emergency dental treatment, evacuation, repatriation and family transportation & accommodation benefits as the result of an injury or sickness. Of course, CAIP travel medical insurance covers the athletes while they are training and participating in their respective sport. Travel medical coverage also includes 'The Travel Assistance Program', which provides international emergency assistance to CAIP members when traveling outside Canada.
A choice of travel coverage, either per trip or on an annual basis are available at a variety of rates. Full coverage details are available at CAIP's website.
