Weekend Re-Cap PLUS More Event!

2013 Barefoot National Championships

The 2013 Canadian National Barefoot Championships took place at Dream Lake in Napanee on August 16th to 18th. We had 3 days of perfect water, a site with enough length for everyone and a shoreline that swallowed wakes and gave back nothing in return. With a full schedule and an awards banquet to top it off, we couldn't have asked for a smoother execution and better weather for this eventful weekend.

The overall winners in the Open divisions were Quest for Gold recipients George Weekes in Open Men and Becky Moynes in Open Women. Other winners were Mason Timmerman in Boys, Michelle Spence in Womens 1, Melissa Spence in Womens 2, Gerry Mitchell in Mens 2, Steve Keating in Mens 3, Marcel Brunet in Mens 4 and Ross Holden in Mens 8.

Congratulations to all athletes and thank you for making it an unforgettable weekend!
