Two Members Added to WSWO Water Ski Hall of Fame!

Traditional Water Ski to welcome two new members
to the Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario Hall of Fame

Dan Anderson

Dan Anderson has been a staple WSWO member and elite competitor for over 30 years, representing Ontario and Canada provincially, nationally and internationally. A many time provincial and national title holder, Dan represents all that is great about the sport of water skiing.
As a builder to the sport, Dan Anderson has made significant long-term contributions to Ontario and Canadian water skiing. In addition to his skiing credits, Dan holds a level 3 officials rating, a level 3 driver rating and is an RC rated Technical Controller. He developed two high quality slalom lakes - Sunset and Southwood – near his home in Greely and for over 22 years these sites have been home to the annual Canada’s Capital Slalom Challenge. The CCSC is a Record Capable tournament and one of the finest weekend slalom competitions anywhere. Dan also has a long history of hosting two additional tournaments annually, providing skiers with additional opportunities to compete, generate scores and enjoy our sport.
Dan Anderson has consistently given back to the sport of waterskiing. In addition to hosting multiple quality tournaments every year, he organized ski clubs operating on both Sunset and Southwood Lakes where regular community fun nights are held throughout the season, with lessons and encouragement free for the taking.
Dan Anderson is a uniquely dedicated contributor to Ontario water skiing.  Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario congratulates Dan on being elected to the Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario Hall of Fame.

Mark Stevens

Mark Stevens is one of Ontario’s finest Traditional water skiers, and has been for over 30 years. The holder of numerous Ontario and Canadian titles in all three events – slalom, trick and jump - Mark has dedicated himself to the sport year-in and year-out. In addition to his many skiing records, Mark has also held the number one position on the IWWF World Ranking List for overall skiers in his division. His remarkable skiing achievements, made over a long and distinguished career, are exceptional.
Off the water, Mark Stevens has served Ontario and Canada selflessly as a tournament judge and official. He holds a Pan Am officials rating and has served as a judge at countless Ontario and national tournaments including Chief Judge at the Canadian Water Ski Championships. He has also served as a judge at numerous international tournaments, including the World University Games in Japan and the Junior World Championships in Chile. In addition, Mark has devoted countless hours over many years to help organize and facilitate a multitude of activities in support of the sport.
In recognition of his lifelong dedication to our sport both on and off the water, Water Ski Wakeboard Ontario is proud to welcome Mark Stevens, competitor, official, volunteer and gentleman to the WSWO Hall of Fame.
The formal Induction Celebration for Dan Anderson and Mark Stevens will be held at an event to be announced shortly.
